The short version
I've had many years of immersion in the worlds of graphic design, illustration, writing and coaching. I have managed my own studio as well as working for others as a graphic designer, illustrator and writer. I like a hearty mix to keep me on my toes and I LOVE my creative life.
Since the early 2000s I have worked as Australia’s only accredited Artists Way at Work facilitator and as a specialist creativity coach for creative professionals. I trained as a Creativity Coach with Dr Eric Maisel and with Mark Bryan, co-founder of The Artist's Way. In this work I help committed creatives, in all fields, to overcome their anxiety blocks and find their voice and focus.
Throughout the year I'm also the online coach for the Australia, New Zealand and UK Writers' Colleges, tutoring a specialised course I was commissioned to write for them. The course guides writers on a deep personal journey into their writing, blocks, creative processes, past experiences and future plans.
As an active visual artist, writer and a degree trained graphic designer, I have written and illustrated greeting cards for The Ink Group and John Sands, self-published my own hardcover children's book – What colours am I? – and was selected for a national poster project viewed at Qantas terminals. Going national – even just in the toilets – was pretty exciting!
I'm also experienced in running workshops, public speaking (trained with Toastmasters) and presenting to groups.
Memberships include: Illustrators Australia, The Australian Society of Authors and Writers Victoria.
So as you can see, I'm pretty passionate about creativity and like to keep busy.
